Growing up in the Philippines, Cindy (a quiet, introverted child) lived in dreams louder than the outside world. She was passionate about creating arts and crafts, as well as reading and writing stories. In school, She was a library-dweller and mostly stayed to herself, except when she made extra cash by selling origami, and mini-comic books. She's always had a love for fantasy and mythical stories and has even imagined herself as being a babaylan (priestess), or witch at times.
Cindy is an artist, and a writer, who enjoys creating stories inspired by the Filipino culture, as well as mental health awareness. Being neurodivergent herself, she yearns to share stories that highlight the power of their uniqueness. She enjoys volunteering her time in altruistic pursuits. And although she doesn't see herself as a great leader, she hopes to make a positive change in the world.
She currently resides in Las Vegas, NV. She has a B.S. in Business and Entrepreneurship Certificate from the University of Phoenix. After working in the financial industry for many years, she felt unfulfilled and decided to focus more on the things and people that she loves. She currently works as a Tagalog Interpreter.
She is an SCBWI and Storyteller Academy member and continues to attend various workshops and critique groups to grow her skills. She believes that lessons are learned through experiences, and stories are the best way to share them.
